Take a Leap

Is it time to take a leap and test out the new you? You may have spent a lot of time healing and transforming. You may have been extra cautious and responsible with your actions. Building a strong foundation for the new you. But now that energy needs movement. It’s time to test out the new you. It may be time to take a leap! Taking a leap can feel scary. It literally means doing something risky or uncertain with the potential for great success or movement forward. Or it can mean to advance suddenly to a position of success. When you start to feel that need to take a leap it is your energy saying it’s time to grow, advance, and move out of this old energy. So how do you know when it is the right time to take a leap? And how do you know it will bring success?

Anytime you go out of our comfort zone you are taking a risk. You are doing something you are not 100% confident with. You may not have experience navigating things with ease. You may face new challenges or choices. But this is all a part of growing.  What you fear is the unknown. Can you trust yourself to move through this new experience? How will it all turn out? What will happen if I make this choice or do this thing. You may be looking for certainty to have control of the situation. And this helps you deal with fear. But needing control of a situation is never the solution and it only keeps you stuck in repeating old patterns that stop growth.

So many people say that they want to change something in their life. I want a new job, new relationships, new home, new opportunities or experiences. But to ever bring in anything new you need to take a leap. You need to face uncertainty. You need to take a risk. You may fail or you may succeed. But normally the fear of failing out ways the reward of success. Fear can have such a hold on people. What if I fail and people see it? What if it proves I’m not worthy? What are the consequences you are afraid of if you fail? How powerful are they? Why are they stopping you from taking a leap?

This is why so many people make bigger changes in their lives when they have something major happen to them. They may say I hit rock bottom, nothing else could go wrong, or what else do I have to lose. When you feel that there are no more things that you are afraid of will happen, the idea of taking a risk isn’t scary. It’s opportunity. You may hear a story of how someone lost their job, relationship, home or more. And how they came back to have a success story that inspires others. That person had nothing left to lose. There was nothing more to fear. So why not try something new and take a leap? They exhausted all the old ways of doing things. Trying to keep fear at bay and prevent something bad from happening. The only new thing to do was to take a leap of faith.

Most of you do not want to get to that point where you lose everything to finally try something new. But anytime we want to grow we are facing those same fears of what if it doesn’t work? But that is called trying and learning. It is growth. Your energy might be in a place where you did the work. You set a good foundation for the new you. But now it is time to test it out. Take a leap to try something new. Do something different. Get out of your comfort zone and step into the unknown. Instead of saying what if it goes wrong, say what if it goes right?

Be a little adventurous and see what new you likes. If something feels scary, is it because it is growth or is it really bad for you? If it’s growth push through and see how you come out on the other side. You might surprise yourself. You might have just made a life-changing choice with so much new potential. Take a leap to the next chapter in your life. It may be the very next thing needed in your growth and transformation. Following your gut feeling and instinct of when you need to take a leap. If it feels scary, it should be because it’s new and unknown. But it doesn’t mean it is bad. Use your discernment, trust yourself and take a leap into your new future of success and fulfillment!
